BLOG #1: LECTURE LEARNING & BRAINSTORMING; GEE 16 REVENUE PROPOSAL

Over the last few insightful days of immersing myself in the fundamental principles of entrepreneurship, I have gathered an abundance of valuable knowledge. Excited to share with all of you, this blog will serve as the platform for me to impart the wisdom gained from my educational journey.

1. DEFINE YOUR HYPOTHESIS

We hypothesize that by implementing a comprehensive and user-friendly platform, accessible through a simple QR code, we can effectively cater to the needs of students, the community, and motorela drivers. Our objective is to provide them with an effortless and convenient transportation solution, while simultaneously aiming to enhance the overall financial well-being of motorela and habal-habal drivers. By offering this easy-to-use platform, we seek to optimize the efficiency of their operations, thus maximizing their income opportunities and improving their livelihoods.

2. DECISION MAKING

One decision that our team made in the previous week was to choose our startup project. After careful consideration, we reached an agreement and selected "CMUGO" as our venture. The reason behind our choice was a shared struggle we all faced in terms of transportation. With this startup project, we hope to alleviate not only the transportation challenges faced by students and the community but also those encountered by motorela and habal-habal drivers. By catering to their needs, we aim to make a positive impact on the lives of many individuals within our local community.

3. WHAT THE OPTIONS WERE AND WHICH OPTION THE TEAM CHOOSE AND WHY?

There were numerous options that we considered when deciding on a startup project. Initially, we thought about developing a draining system. However, after engaging in thorough discussions, we decided against pursuing this idea due to the scarcity of materials required for the project. Another possibility we explored was the creation of an app. Regrettably, since none of us possessed the necessary knowledge and skills to develop an app, we ultimately discarded this option. Finally, we considered the concept of generating QR codes. Fortunately, some members of our team were familiar with the process of creating QR codes. As a result, we collectively agreed to select the QR code project as our final startup endeavor and gave it the distinctive name of "CMUGO".

LESSONS LEARNED OVER A WEEK.

Over the course of the past week, our knowledge and understanding of entrepreneurship blossomed significantly. We delved into the essence of what it means to be entrepreneurial and how this mindset operates in the business world. Additionally, we discovered the vital importance of validation when engaging in a startup project. This process allowed us to gain valuable insights into the perspectives of potential customers and market conditions. Moreover, validation enabled us to gather essential information and guidelines on effectively building startup projects. It shed light on the myriad of challenges and obstacles that one may encounter throughout the entire process, ensuring we are fully prepared to tackle any hindrances that come our way. By equipping ourselves with this knowledge, we have enhanced our ability to transform entrepreneurial ideas into tangible and successful ventures.
